Very much so. Have a read of the PIC documentation on the xbox-linux site.

The PIC has two modes - one where it resets UNLESS you respond to its
interrupt within a set period of time - MS dash uses this, and another mode,
where it resets whatever you do.

You can put the pic into the second mode, but once it's there, there's no way
to get it back into the 'dont reset unless I ignore your interrupt" mode
short of a powercycle.

The xbox-ejectfix simply provides an interrupt handler which responds
correctly to the PIC generated interrupt. As I said above, the
'reset-anyway' PIC mode gives you no chance to stop it (which games normally
go for)

Do yourself a favour - either do the dash hack (if you must) or buy a modchip
or tsop flash if you dont want games. Otherwise, you've no way to eject the
drive tray ever ;)

David
