xbox IR

Hello,

I am running somewhat dated version of xebian (I think it is 0.4) though I
am upto date on apt. The version that I have has a crapy DVD remote driver
that generate way to many key codes and do not generate codes at all for all
VCR keys (play, pause, stop, etc) as well as Title, Info, Menu, Back.

I was hoping that over 9 months the driver would get fixed and I would get
new one thru apt-get upgrade, however being uptodate I am still not getting
the key codes from the remote. Am I not getting getting some xebian packages
with apt, or there is no way to upgrade to newer version of xebian without
complete reinstall?

I hate reinstalling, but if this is the only way, could somebody please
confirm or deny that VCR keys works in the new version of xebian?
