I assume you use usb-xboxir, which generates keyboard events for some of the buttons (you can remap them via some tool). There is a newer module for lirc, but you need to get a newer kernel w/ the appropriate modules, containing this, amongst other changes. Presumably you only apt updated userland stuff, not the kernel. I am also not sure there is an apt update for the kernel, as this depends heavily on the way you boot and might well fail to boot afterwards. > I hate reinstalling, but if this is the only way, could somebody please You need to get yourself a newer kernel with the modules. As I said, I dunno wether there is an apt package available for that. > confirm or deny that VCR keys works in the new version of xebian? They do get send to lirc and it's the applications job to handle them (requires a lircrc file for the app, normally). Note that this driver does not generate keyboard events, if you want to do that, you need to setup the lirc tools that do the job. regards, Marko ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by OSTG.
