This bit still stands.

The xbox= bit only appears to do the AC97 codec detection workaround, NOT
the S/PDIF output enable code, which, in our original patch locksteps the
PCM output to the digital out too. I was under the impression that this
was necessary.
Are you able to confirm that s/pdif works on xbox with the latest alsa
then, or just that the latest alsa works fine with normal audio output?
