I want to build a home server that can stay on all the time and use little power. It would be used for SMTP, samba, and some TiVo file sharing. I'd put some IDE RAID on it. Have people done this and got advice to offer? This article on toms hardware caught my eye as a way to achieve this ... http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20041001/ I poked around the ACPI documentation and it still seems a little rough around the edges. But is it possible to use APCI with a customized AMD Athlon and one of the two motherboards suggested in the article? -- Adrian Blakey <[email protected]> ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
