[Printing-user-general] HP Color LaserJet 5M Printing smudge

We have HP Color LaserJet 5M. It's a great printer. Recently, it started to
have defective printing. When we printed the test page, at the top of the page,
there seem to be ink leakage. The strange thing is it only happens at the top
of the page. The bottom 4/5 of the page prints out normally.

We brought it to the printer repair shop and they told me $160 + parts. They
don't guarantee it will be fixed.

We would really appreciate any suggestion and advice. We are hoping that some
people have similar problem. Thank you so much.
