[Printing-user-general] Okipage drumcount reset withe Status Monitor

Is there an CUPS or Linux solution for the below mentioned problem??

I replaced the drum in my okipage6w.
Connection is OK
Test print is OK but I like to reset the drum count.

There for I start the Status monitor.
 enter Printer setup,
       Printer Menu,
       Maintenance,
       Drum Counter reset.

Now I receive the ERROR window containing:
   The printer is busy and this
   function has been diabled.
    Reset Busy and click the [Retry] button.

I don't know a Busy button on the printer nor in the
printer setup.

The answer from the OKI helpdesk is clear but....:

The machine will not support the resetting of the Drum Counter in Windows
XP Service Pack 2. The only fix, is to move the printer to an older version
of Windows and reset the counter, and then move the printer back.

I have only 1 Microsoft system (W-XP SP2) an don't like to have more.
And for sure not an older system.
