Hi, So I purchased a Dell 3010cn color laser printer - price is hard to beat at $284 delivered, print speed, color, USB, network (with remote lpd daemon) etc. are very nice. The only problem is that the printer is for WINDOWS only. So now I have to print every file to a postscript file and print it out under vmware with ghostscript - not an ideal solution. So my question is this: Is there any hope to have this printer work under Linux much like the original winmodems? What kind of hacking will be necessary to coax this printer into working under Linux? Is there some emulation that will work? Firmware upgrade? I'm wondering if the experts on this list have some ideas I could try out. -Borries
