I'd like to report that the Cannon iP2800 driver worked perfectly for 
me. I am running ubuntu 20-04 on a fairly recent hp laptop (2 years old)

Especially gratifying is that when running in dual boot windows 10, the 
software wants me to buy a new cartridge
