Canon Pixma G2560 problems

Hi

 

I am trying to set up a Raspberry pi as a network print server using CUPS.
It works fine for a HP Laserjet I have, which shows the basic configuration
is OK, but no joy for a new Canon G2560.   When trying a test page, it looks
like data is being received by the printer as a 'please wait momentarily'
message appears for a few seconds, but nothing is actually printed and the
message disappears.   I am using the G2500 series driver as it appears to be
the most applicable.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated.
