Dear Gutenprint Development Team,

I am writing to request assistance or guidance regarding support for the *HP
DeskJet 2338* All-in-One printer on macOS.

Currently, this model lacks official driver support from HP for modern
versions of macOS (specifically on Apple Silicon/M-series architecture). As
the DeskJet 2338 is a host-based printer utilizing the PCL 3 GUI / LIDIL
protocol, it has proven difficult to interface with via standard generic
drivers.

I have attempted to use the existing *HP DeskJet 900 series* and *2130*
Gutenprint drivers, but have not yet achieved successful printing.

   Is there an existing driver or PPD within the current Gutenprint
   development tree known to work with the 2338/2300 series?

   If not, are there any experimental drivers I could test to help provide
   logs or feedback for future support?
