Hello,

I have found a somewhat hidden option to activate 'lan-boot-rom' im my BIOS.
At system start, I can choose between RPL, PXE and local boot.
When I choose PXE there are some messages, which are bad to read because they
are shown for less then a second.
But one message say's something like 'please check cable',  and the system
starts booting WIN98 from local hard disk.
But inside Windows there is no network connection possible.

When I start with 'boot from lan' disabled, Windows can access the network
without problems.

So I guess that the problem is not the cable.

How to find the real problem?
