X mouse and agpart problems

Hi all,
We are trying to build an image for better thin client hardware and I am
having trouble with the mouse. The hardware is an IPEX celeron 500 with PS2
mouse and keyboard. USB is also available but nothing is connected. We have
successfully loaded Mandrake 9.1 on to one of them with no problems, so it
seems to support Linux.

However PXES boots and loads the PS2 mouse driver but X complains that it
can't find the mouse if I run "X -configure" (the terminal loops at
xsetleds).
Exact output:
XFree86 is not able to detect your mouse.
Edit the file and correct the Device.

Your XF86Config file is //XF86Config.new

When I run the "test configure" option it mentions, I get a different error
messages:

(EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpart (No such file or directory)
(EE) I810(0): AGP GART support is not available. Make sure your kernel has
agpgart support or that the agpgart kernel module is loaded.
(EE) Screens(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal serer error:
no screens found


I have also tried using an optical mouse, under other hardware the light
comes on when the PS2 mouse driver loads, but not this hardware. If I "cat
/dev/psaux" the mouse lights up and I can see input (albeit binary junk).
However if I "cat /dev/input/mice" nothing happens. "/dev/mouse" doesn't
exist. I have tried setting PXES to auto and to /dev/psaux in various
combinations to no avail.

Any suggestions?
