USB Mass Storage Devices

I don't know what state the drivers are for Linux with regarding to the "USB
Mass Storage" devices.  We have proprietary thin clients here (Wyse) which
can be configured to accept USB floppy drives, smart card readers, memory
sticks etc., all of which seem to use the standard USB mass storage driver. 

Is this possible for PXES thin clients?  I guess that depends on USB drivers
being available for Linux.
