Don't forget supermount.o and it can theoretically work. You need some scripts, so that the newly plugged device is supermounted to /mnt/usbsomething. (Be aware, that ntfs can't be mounted with supermounts "auto"-option for filesystem. this will fail! other Filesystems work well. Also nice to know: some of my students have memoryticks which are not correctly detected.
