Maybe its an IDE controller problem - it could be that the stock kernel only sees the first IDE controller. Try compiling your own kernel and make sure its got the right IDE controller compiled in. Because of taking of the hard disk, pxes is not be able to find the cdrom driver on the second bus. Don't know if it's specific to Dell computers or ide. Best regards, Sébastien Dagnicourt.
