RE: Is there a good faq for rebuilding the PXES kernel with new modules?

Thanks to Wayne, the faq he referred me to was newer than what I was
working on...

Which brings me to my next question. When I copy/save the config file I
get the following errors. I'm assuming this is due to not having the
right modules, is there an easy way for me to tell what to add or patch
to my source to get rid of these errors? Some way to cross reference
the unconfigured variable name to the package it's from?

Is there a similar document on how to get my kernel source to the
correct starting position? The source I symbolically link to in
/opt/pxes-0.8/linux?

If I don't use the pxes config file, but just create my own it compiles
all the way through and seems to work, but my bzImage ends up being much
larger than the prebuilt pxes image (over a meg in size). If I try to
load it anyway I just get flashing scroll lock and caps lock LED's.

At this point I'm just trying to more or less recompile the kernel and
end up with something comparable to the prebuilt image...

Thanks.

Here are the errors:

kernel with new modules?

Hi,

Attached is a revised howto for building custom kernels. It's a bit out
of date as it does not mention howto apply the cramfs patch and some of
the version numbers are wrong but it still is generally correct.
