No, I haven't.  I'm suspecting that putting all the computational and
graphics workload of about 150 Windows systems on one Windows server
may be too much for the server.

In many instances, yes.  The pilot's view out of the cockpit window is
often drawn by high end Windows-based graphics PCs.  As such, it would
be best to do all the computation and graphics on that local box, and
only reach across the network for application and data files.  I'm
thinking about using a NAS or a SAN to grab the large files, once the
diskless clients are booted disklessly.
