Sounds to me like you are missing the special DHCP options lines.

You need options
043	Vender Specific Info 01 04 00 00 00 00
I don't remember what this was, but it was needed for pxes 0.8 The
need may have gone though.
060	ClassID PXEClient
066	Boot Server Host Name 192.168.x.x
This needs to be the IP of the TFTP server. Note Windows DHCP
server sets this to itself regardless!
067	Bootfile Name pxes/pxelinux.0
All the files need to be in this directory. For me this is
c:\tftpboot\pxes\

Screenshots can be provided if necessary. If your DHCP server is something
else, then you'll need to read the docs to find out how to put these options
in.

Subject: [pxes-devel] desparately trying to get pxe-boot version of pxes
working...

I have access to dhcpd, or windows dhcp, tftp is installed and working.
however the docs don't seem to represent anything close to the state of the
current files.

There also seem to be parts missing. I see stuff on configing, and reference
to copying files that don't seem to exist like pxelinux.0, and no reference
with what to do with the squash file.

The rest of my network is all BSD - maybe that's part of my problem? ANY
advice appreciated.

I've tried netbooting kernels and so on , and I get pxe errors about file
size - what do I do?

Thanks!
