Hi list! I've got some problems, and can't solve it with searching maillist and forum. PXES is wonderful, it works completely, i just cant find a way where i can customise it. 1. for example, i need custom if-up script. now i'm writing directives to default.conf, it works but it's structurally incorrect ;). Where in <pxesdir> i can found a proto for if-up, for example? 2. I think i dont quite understand pxesconfig process. imo it takes kernel and modules from <pxesdir>/stock/arch/ARCH, takes distrib from <pxesdir>/dist (<--1st question refernce here) and assembles into *.initrd. Am i right? 3. i installed pxes from unofficial debs, link found on forum, v 1.0.6, pxesconfig the same. <pxesdir> seem to be /usr/share/pxes in my <pxesdir>/dist/etc some scripts look like they were taken from my system, that also confused me a bit ;). So pxes when installing gets somekind of filesystem skeleton from existing system? 4. I tried to make my custom kernel (2.4.31) using wiki, everything went good, but i couldn't run pxesconfig with new kernel. Is there any traps that not mentioned in wiki? I just put this task away for a while, seems i got to compare notation and filesystem structure with prebuilt ones, but if there's something special, or you can point me to a good TFM, i'll be very grateful (or graceful? for sure, not grapeful ;) not my native language, sorry ;) Any replies will be highly appreciated. I think i missed some useful links and therefore cant visualise the whole structure in my head ;) regards, if ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
