hi everybody, I hope here on this mailing list are some guys who works in a hospital or got on a different way contact with medical hardware. On my case I have the following problem: the thinclient has two extern hardware components: - printer (lpt1) - scanner for magnetic cards (com1) But how can I configure the com1? This "scanner" reads magnetic cards for checking information about patients and their wishs about their lunch. Under a fatclient with Window= s Windows connects to this "scanner" via a hyperterminal. I never worked with such hardware. Is here someone who has some experienc= e with a thinclient solution for the kitchen in a hospital? Thank you very much for your help Greetings Stephan ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl
