Are you using 32 bit Linux?? If so that is a difference, I use 64bit. I suspect there are serious differences between the two. I would re-install with 64 bit linux. I use openSUSE, no troubles.. On 64 bit you need newlib first. I just followed Jan's directions. I looked at my "notes" and it is cut and paste from Jan's email ********************************************************** Jan @ cut out address... Download the latest RTAI version from CVS or from github: git clone https://github.com/ShabbyX/RTAI.git Read the file base/math/README.KLIBM On a 64bit system you might want to install newlib: cd /usr/local/src mkdir newlib cd newlib cvs -z 9 -d :pserver:anoncvs at sourceware.org:/cvs/src login cvs -z 9 -d :pserver:[email protected]:/cvs/src login # password: anoncvs cvs -z 9 -d :pserver:anoncvs at sourceware.org:/cvs/src co newlib mkdir install cd src/newlib ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/src/newlib/install --disable-shared CFLAGS="-O2 -mcmodel=kernel" make make install In the rtai menu go to Base system -> Other features: Enable "Mathfuns support in kernel" Nextline should have a "(1)" for NEWLIB "The installation directory of your chosen libm.a" should be set to /usr/local/src/newlib/install/lib Then make RTAI again. This should work.
