Dear Asier, I tried the configuration that you suggested but it fails. It gives following error Makefile:161: recipe for target 'standards.info' failed make[3]: *** [standards.info] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory '/usr/local/src/src/etc' Makefile:72: recipe for target 'info' failed make[2]: *** [info] Error 1 Basically Heres what I did: 0) cd /usr/src 1) downloaded the Newlib from cvs -z 9 -d :pserver:anoncvs at sourceware.org:/cvs/src co newlib 2) cd in to src of Newlib 3) used your configuration that is " sudo ./configure --disable-shared --disable-multilib --with-newlib --host=i386-pc-sysv" 4) sudo make 5) Voila - Error recreated.. Can you suggest where I might be going wrong? I will try Dough methods tonight and see if that works as well.. Sorry for late report, bit hung-up in work & exams..
