Hi Rathin, I had the exact same problem with my two i7. Can you try this kernel configuration ? http://pastebin.com/tzcuaadU Also, have you disabled HyperThreading and SpeedStep from BIOS ? Also, try to run the test on a tty2 console (ctrl+alt+f2, then to return to x ctrl+alt+f1).
