Re: System has no response when calibration

Hi,

The only practical way that I have found for debugging RTAI kernels on 
real hardware is the serial console.

You connect the serial console to a second system that logs the output 
to file and you can usually see where the page faults etc are occurring.

If you have a radeon chipset for your display then there is a known bug 
in the drm code so you may need to use nomodeset on the kernel command 
line to disable DRM or you end up with a kernel opps during boot (this 
applies to all 3.x and 4.x Linux kernels. It is a hardware dependent bug 
so may or may not be an issue however using nomodeset may help anyway.
