corrupted files

hi, we`ve been working with rtl for quite some time now, ande are lately experiencing difficulties with the files. several of them where corrupted and unable to install; tried different versions, different computers, different mirrors. Don't wanna cause panic, but is it possible that this can be caused by someting viruslike??? Has anyone had problems like this before?? We tried several installations on a freshly set up debian system without internet access, just in case ... but the results where the same. Any comments , ideas, hints !?!?
