Hi Dmitry My case may not apply but the symptom was similar. I could not let USB mouse to work with rtlinux. which I suspect caused by my 'make xconfig'. -- nothing to do with kernel patch. -- nor initial kernel version 2.6.xx(not sure, though) Besides, what about RTLinux modules are? can you go tty1 and check if your rtlinux modules can do what you expect? If you could, you could at least let the kernel to do real time work for you. As far as I know I need to kill Xwindows to have higher performance with the real time kernel. Of course, it is hard to have no GUI at all especially at the very begining before we could get along with CLI linux (UNIX perhaps). If your mouse is PS/2 it would work I guess. Mine is Debian sarge. Thank you. wathavy > Well, KDE login screen appeared, I was able even to > login without any > error-messages. > But mouse didn't work at all.
