alsa and pulse. is this good or not?

Hi. I found information here about removing pulse audio. http://www.hecticgeek.com/2012/01/how-to-remove-pulseaudio-use-alsa-ubuntu-linux/ is this good or not? Would this solve all espeakup erros I've got?
