Bulk publishing can take a /very/ long time - particularly
if your DB optmizer statistics have not been updated since
the content itself was imported. Think several hours...

It processes each item in its own transaction, so if interrupted
it will continue where it left off previously. If yu want
progress display, then turn up the log4j level to DEBUG for
the class com.arsdigita.london.util.cms.BulkPublish prior
to running it.
