Shifting content-type data between two databases

Which are loaded in = database1, and we have created some content-items in database2. Now the = task is to merge all the content-items created in database1 to existing = content-items in database2. So our aim is to get all the content-items = in database1 as well as database2 in a single database, database2. Is = there any way we can accomplish this task. We are trying to achieve = these things on cms(6.1) and aplaws(1.0.1) version. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
