Monitor .inf file reader.

Hi everyone,

is there any development done, in an aplication, that can read the .inf files of the monitors, and configure the X options?

Searching a bit in the web, i only found one, that belongs to a comercial X server package.

Is there any one making this, or know if there is one. 
This is a sugestion to include in the config list of aplications, as also in the fedora installer.
