ooooh... the digest mode. Yes, that does look not great. 
I have never used the digest mode, I use the email per post/mailing list
like mode.

yeah, the discourse digest mode could definitely use some work it looks
like based on those screenshots.

ok, well thats what I do. Actually I have just subscribed to everything,
and it sends emails to me and I filter them just like any other mailing
list I am on and read folders as priority/time sets.

Those emails look pretty normal to me.. There is some [quote] weirdness
depending on how someone has quoted another message, but threading looks
fine, the contents are fine.
