i use rh7.3, but i think  it is irrespective with the release.

you are right, install with your method is a good ideal. 
but i means we can write a script, with the script, linux can be auto installed and
during the installation,we  need to  type any information manually.

i do not know how to set the ftp account and password in the file ks.cfg!
