I seem to have better luck with
PRINTER_0_TYPE = S
when the printer is USB

 Todd,

 Do you have the following line(s) for this client in your lts.conf ?
 (you showed only the one line lts.conf config in your post)

 1)

 [MA:CD:DR:ES:SS:SS(myclient)]
 PRINTER_0_DEVICE=/dev/usb/lp0 (or /dev/usblp0)
 PRINTER_0_TYPE=U

 On the TC drop to a shell and do
 ls -la /dev/usb/

 You should see /lp#

 2) Asking the obvious . You did add the driver for this printer to
the
 server? Did this printer work alright connected to the server
itself?

 3) What brand of printer is it.
 Some Lexmark printers are very difficult to get working on ltsp,or
any
 Linux distro for that matter.

 Take Care,
 Barry
