Hey,

I had a question about the use of piranha + Rainbow Igate.. For all simplicity, it is nothing more than a reverse SSL proxy that calls upon a non-SSL based website to provide an SSL transaction (Very good stuff none the less!)

My question is this :

In my checks I normally would do something like :

     send = "GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n"
     expect = "*"

But for the Igate, if I do :

(telneting to real IP for Igate) :

# telnet 192.168.1.245 443
Trying 192.168.1.245...
Connected to 192.168.1.245.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / HTTP/1.0
sdoijsdiojd
sdiojsdio
^]
telnet> quit

I get nothing.. I can of course access https://192.168.1.245:443 and all is well.

My question is two fold -

One - Can I have a script that would successfully test the SSL connection to the Igate to show that it is alive (IE get a response back)
Two - If I can't do option one, is there a way to tell piranha it is always working (I realize this is not the best scenario in the world but an option while I work towards number one)

Thanks!
