Far as I know Piranha supports all three methods of
routing. But it would serve you well to read Joseph
Mack's HOWTO on linuxvirtualserver.com for what each
entails. 

If you are new to Piranha, and not so familiar with
lvs.cf, you can use the Piranha GUI which you start up
with the command 

  /etc/rc.d/init.d/piranha-gui start

then connect via web browser with

  http://nameofyourpiranhabox:3636
            or
  http://localhost:3636
     (if have access to a browser local
      on the box itself in X-windows...
      run startx to bring up Gnome or KDE).

Then you can play around with setting up
the lvs.cf for NAT, Direct, Tunneling, and 
check out other settings too.  As you
use Piranha GUI you can then open lvs.cf
in an editor (vi, pico, kedit, gedit, etc.)
and see what Piranha GUI changed.
