My strong suggestion is you use Red Hat Linux 7.3
not 8.0. (Apache v2 and PHP levels in 8.0 seem to
really mess with Piranha GUI.)  And do your errata &
kernel updates to 7.3 also. You will install ipvsadm,
piranha, scsi-reserve packages and also make sure you
have these for RUP (ARP) load monitoring:

nfs-utils-0.3.3-5  (rpc.statd)
ucd-snmp-4.2.5-7.73.0 (snmpd)
rusers-server-0.17-12 (rpc.rstatd)
(though you can set load monitoring to none instead of
rup but get better results with rup)

In Red Hat 7.3 you will still need to apply a
minor/simple fix to make the Piranha GUI work, which
is this (after installing Piranha package):

cd /usr/bin
ln -s /sbin/ipvsadm ipvsadm
chmod +s ipvsadm 

For ease of configuration of Linux itself, you can
install WEBMIN from www.webmin.com.  I wish Red Hat
would include it with their distros. Just don't leave
it running all the time.  Only when you need it.
(/etc/rc.d/init.d/webmin start/stop)  You can easily
configure boot-time scripts, etc.
