Stupid question

I'm a beginner in piranha HA technology. Don't beat me :) Please help me to start... I have 2 servers and i need to confirure high available mail relay. I don't have additional router/node... Each server should receive mail (SMTP) and forward it. Servers configurations should be independent. But: I'd like to have single IP address for this system I'd like to have load balancing. Is it enought 2 servers to do that I want?
