Piranha on same subnet

Dear List,

I am new to the world of Piranha but am looking to use instead of expensive
Foundry Serverirons. Please excuse my ignorance but could I ask the
following question

If I have the this scenario:

Two 'REAL' Windows 2000 HTTP servers Server1 (10.0.0.7/21) and Server2
(10.0.0.8/21)

I have my Linux Load Balancer 10.0.0.9/21 on ETH0

and my HTTP clients on 10.0.0.20 thru 10.0.0.50

All of these machines are on the same subnet and on the same layer 2
ethernet switch. Will it work? This setup works fine on the Server IRON
but not on my initial REDHAT attempt. All the documentation I can find show
examples of having the LINUX server as a router between the clients on the
INTERNET and therefore on one subnet and the real servers inside on another
SUBNET.

This is not the scenario I want to use.

Thanks in advance

David St.Clair
