Very few internal modems will work without a special driver (and it will not likely come with the modem), and for many, you cannot get a Linux driver. If bound and determined to get an internal, look at http://www.linmodems.org/ At the bottom of that page is a link to a very large listing of modems including compatibility and driver availability.
