problem with dial up internet

Hi Everyone,

I use a red hat 7.3 linux. I am easily connected to the internet through a dial up connection using the KPPP application. 

The problem i am facing is i am not able to open any web sites. 

If i ping a website say www.rediff.com i get an error 'unknown host' after some time. At the same time if i try o ping the ip address the ping is successful. 

Is this a DNS problem? 


Can any one help me to solve this problem?
