PPP + PPTP + MPPE/MS-CHAP V2 on RHEL 2.1AS

Hello,

I'm trying to set up a PPTP server on my RHEL AS2.1 box, kernel
2.4.9-e.24smp.

I have pppd version 2.4.2 which has mppe support.
I only miss mppe support for the kernel so that I can have the necessary
module ppp_mppe (called when you type modprobe ppp-compress-18 for instance,
this module is necessary if you want to enable MSCHAP-V2, that is encryption
and compression).

I have found many solutions on how to build the mppe modules but none are
applicable to AS2.1.

Did any of you already had the same issue ? How did you solve it ?
