Re: compiling pppd

I tracked out the problem....
In the options file I had put crtscts
Removing that caused the ppp0 to come up
Thanks a lot for the reply....I checked the options file once again so th=
at I cud tell u what were the options.....and even the debug messages fro=
m /var/log/messages!!

Hi,

it would be helpful to point out where the problem is if you
could attach the debug prints when PPP is trying to connect.
You need to run PPP with the debug option for and if
PPP becomes a background process, you'd find the messages
in the /var/log/messages file (otherwise you'd see the messages
on the console itself)
