Hi,
I recently ran oracles database configuration assistant unsuccessfully,
the system halted and I had to reset.

when redhat booted up I did not get a login prompt, I get

bash:no job control in this shell

the command prompt is sh-2.05# and if I sh-2.05# su - root, I get the
root user prompt without supplying a password! m'thinks this very
strange. Please advise. Is this serious?

Regards,
john
