hi
i have a Linux 7.2 RH and a new RH 9.0 installed on 2
machines
                                                      
                        
config of 7.2 is : p4 1.3 GHz 512 mb ram
                   40-50 users with /home size around
12 GB
                                                      
                        
my intention is to migrate 7.2 usrs to RH 9.0 with
same usernames and
passwords and same home directory data.
but RH 9.0 is on p4 1.8 GHz 128 mb ram.
I tried cut/copying passwd/group/shadow in rh 9.0 but
scp hangs when i try
to transfer /home from 7.2 to 9.0.
Also machine is in warranty so can not take hd out and
put on rh 9 machine
                                                      
                        
How can I do this migration easily.
can I put same HD of 7.2 in rh 9 machine and try with
rh 9.0 kernel?
