Problems with bash:!

Hi all,

I use Red Hat Linux 7.0 with Samba Server installed. I had one user called 
stampa. Yesterday I created four other users. I putted all in the group of 
the 1st user stampa. To permit the access from network from w98 e w2k 
clients I placed them in the smpasswd table with the command

smbpasswd -a -e username

I modified the permissions of the shared home directory of the user stampa 
and I create a link in every home directory of the new users.

All works well, but now when I access to the server via Telnet or in a non 
graphical console using the user stampa I receive an error:

bash: SERNAME: command not found

and also my programs don't work well, and the backspace key doesn't work.

I tried to assign the new users to another new group, modify the 
permissions of the shared home directory to have the initial situation 
without any result.

Can somebody help me?
