rehat 7.0 netscape and Mozilla crash with java

After upgrading glib's to the most recent version I noticed my
communicator browser(netscape), along with Mozilla will not view a java
web page without crashing. I tried reinstalling the Java plugin but that
didn't help.

Anyone have a solution to this? Seems the Java that Sun is offering(J2SE
1.4.1) is not supported for redhat 7.0.
