netscape mail question

hi,

downloaded some emails from a IMAP server and burned
into a Cdrom.  Named it MyTemplates.
Now. In netscape/preferences/MailServer  set the path
to /mnt/cdrom/mike and set the server name as
"localhost". Now, when i open the mail reader in
netscape it gives error "can not connect to server".
cat /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1  localhost.localdomain  localhost
tried to copy content of cd to ~mike/nsmail/Templates
but got I/O error.  Got an old PC.
how can i accomplish this?.
