Include hpijs-1.2.2 for HP DeskJet 5550 support?

Hello,

The hpijs release included in ghostscript-7.0.5-20 is out of date. The
latest version of hpijs is 1.2.2 and includes support for HP's latest
mass consumer printer, the DeskJet 5550 (which I just bought). Any
chance of including hpijs-1.2.2 in the upcoming release?

If not, does anyone have some advice how I update to hpijs-1.2.2? So far
I concluded that I need to change the hpijs release in the
ghostscript-7.05-20 specfile from 1.1 to 1.2.2, add hpijs-1.2.2 to the
SOURCES dir, rebuild & upgrade. This is quite doable. 

The HP inkjet site on sf.net also says that I need to upgrade to the
latest foomatic. The current rawhide foomatic of june 17 is also a bit
dated as foomatic-2.0-current (of sept 15) is available. Looking at the
rawhide foomatic specfile this will take quite some work. Any shortcuts,
updated srpms out there?
