Untrue if you ask me. If you arrange CDE, Java, OS/2, Windows 95,
Windows XP, WindowMaker, XFCE, Amiga, OS X, and Mac Classic on a
spectrum, I would argue that GNOME and KDE are more similar to each
other than any other two things on that list are similar to each
other. No two desktop environments have ever been more similar.
